Today, 40 days after the terrible shootings in Kyiv that led to about 100 people being killed, there are important questions being raised about Right Sector’s role in this. Here is one post worth reading.

From a Facebook Timeline Photo Posted by Dmitrii Chekalin (Translation from Russian and Ukrainian by William Risch), Shared March 28, 2014:

“Where was Right Sector (PS) with its automatic rifles and pistols when guys were being killed on the barricades February 18-20? Neither Yarosh nor Muzychko were there. However, Yarosh was in Yanyk’s office on the 20th, and he admitted this only when journalists dug it up. All of this smells foul, friends…(((“
Iana Iankovskaia

“Questions to Yarosh:
1. Why are you playing Putin’s role during Ukraine’s most dangerous days? Why try to knock down a feeble regime? Why give justifications for ‘legitimizing’ intervention by Russian occupiers?
2. Why did you meet SECRETLY with Yanukovych? And why, the day after (Mustafa) Nayyem uncovered this fact, did Right Sector press secretary Skoropadskii accuse Mustafa of lying (the meeting was admitted as fact after material evidence had been presented)?
3. Why in the East is Right Sector represented by shady characters who had worked for (Gennadii) Kernes, and in the West by robbers and bandits like Muzychko?
4. Who can confirm all the services Right Sector has attributed to itself, and how can these services be proven (at a press conference, you referred to that very same Muzychko as one of ‘the main organizers of the Maidan’ and ‘Hero of the Revolution’)?
5. How many of your fighters suffered during the main events in Kiev (not a single one was killed, thank God, of course, but the fact remains that almost two dozen Svoboda people were killed while not a single one of the ‘militant wing’ was killed)?
6. How do you justify plundering and theft (like seizing the Dnepr Hotel and Yanukovych’s cars ‘for the revolution’s cause’ and everything else that still hasn’t surfaced in the media)?
7. Why did you refuse posts in the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MVD) and the SBU (Security Services of Ukraine) when you were offered them? True, you weren’t offered ministerial posts (and that was good), but offices of assistant and advisor are also NOT SMALL.
8. The Ukrainian National Alliance (UNA), which has repainted itself as Right Sector, was in the assortment of technical parties controlled by Yanukovych in the 2012 parliamentary elections (UNA’s quota for electoral commissions was made up of people on lists compiled by local Party of Regions headquarters). How do you explain that? And what are your relations with Dmytro Korchyns’kyi, who back at the beginning of the 2000s did fruitful labor for his friend (Viktor) Medvedchuk (I hope you haven’t forgotten who that individual is and what he’s been doing from time to time)?

Is that too little to ask?”

“So, Right Sector wants lustration. Let’s consider this. Insider says: ‘Right now several hundred people stand in front of the Supreme Rada’s entrance and chant ‘Avakov out!.’ Right next to the front doors is a representative from the Ukrainian National Self-Defense (UNSO) who goes under the nickname ‘Topolia’ (http://www.theinsider.ua/politics/53347147bb423/). Ihor Mazur, who goes by the nickname ‘Topolia,’ is the leader of Kyiv’s Right Sector organization. You can verify this simply by googling him. One simple fact about Mazur: he led negotiations for ‘screwing up’ (zlyvannia) the Vradiivka march for 100,000 USD, and this fact has been documented on video. Here is a post about this story from nationalist blogger Olena Bilozers’ka: http://bilozerska.livejournal.com/745398.html. Right Sector, you could at least begin lustration with your own ranks, couldn’t you?”
